Funny how a song can remain just a song - purely composed of music, lyrics, and melody. Nothing more and nothing less of something written to be sang with seemingly lifeless words.

However, once a specific memory associates with this song, the memory gives life to it to become a portal to different dimensions. Like a time warp, it brings you back to bittersweet memories of nostalgia, recalling events you kept hidden at the back of your mind. Things you thought you have forgotten. Things you thought didn't matter. But then, it also opens up your eyes to see and appreciate what you have at this very moment because there is no time like the present.

And it took me a while to realize that it's actually possible for something new to begin with just a simple ordinary song. :)
