"Soon it unfolds who we are in this masquerade of stars."
Unfinished |
Robin: I am never going to have closure. Okay, closure doesn't exist. One day, Don and I are moving into together, and the next thing I know, he's on a plane to Chicago. It just... ended. And, no matter how much I try to forget that it happened, it will have never not happened. Don and I will always be a loose end. We will always be-
(Shot to Ted giving a lecture)
Ted: Unfinished. Gaudí, to his credit, never gave up on his dream. But that's not usually how it goes. Usually it isn't a speeding bus that keeps the brown, pointy, weird church from getting built. Most of the time it's just too difficult, too expensive, too scary. It's only once you've stopped that you realize how hard it is to start again, so you force yourself not to want it. But it's always there. And until you finish it, it will always be...
(Ted runs from the classroom)
Robin and Ted recount how their great loves (Don and Architecture) are unfinished.

I was with my friend Juvy earlier today and one of the topics we talked about was you-know-who. She brought it up in relation to our current topic and asked me how things between us are. I said we already lost communication and we never saw each other again. A simple, "wala na." is just enough. And while I was going to tell her the story of the last time we saw each other, which dated back in February..

..
..
..

I can't remember anything from then. :)

Future Ted: ...And even though it didn't happen right away...
(Shot to Robin watching TV then calls Don but a Spanish woman answers the phone. Robin finds she has forgotten his number.)

...Robin finally got some closure too.
Robin: Sorry, wrong number. (Smiles) Finished with that. (Turns off the TV)

Yeah, finished with that. Finally, so am I. :)

Wooooo!! |

So umm..
This is undeniably, ultimately,
beyond reasonable doubt,
the most accurate summary
of my current situation.
Yes, it is quite depressing.
Yes, the emotions consume me.
But no, I am not giving up.
Not this time.
Because yes, my old friend,
I have the most amazing,
wonderful and ever supportive--
the best circle of crazily loyal friends.
Having them around,
despite the time and distance,
we surely find a way,
to reach out and stay connected.

And with that, my old friend,
even without money and a honey,
which I know are on their ways,
I must say dearly,
that I am truly blessed
with these simple treasures,
I would love to call
FRIENDS. :)

Feelings Hour |
I can't help but feel bad for myself and sympathize. I feel so hopeless on things happening or rather, not happening to me. I feel like I'm so unlucky for this winning streak of unfortunate events occurring. I need a time out.

But seriously, I want a life-changing moment to happen now. I'm calling out to you, oh beloved universe! If Ted challenged you to make it rain, then why can't I? :|

Pagod na ko sa nangyayari sa buhay ko. Minamalas o kay sakit, may balat nga ba ako sa pwet? :(

Right Place Right Time |

June 1, 2011; And as a result, my life would never be the same.
Narrator: Kids, I’ve been telling you the story of how I met your mother, and while there’s many things to learn from this story, this may be the biggest. The great moments of your life won’t necessarily be the things you do, they’ll also be the things that happen to you. Now, I’m not saying you can’t take action to affect the outcome of your life, you have to take action, and you will. But never forget that on any day, you can step out the front door and your whole life can change forever. You see, the universe has a plan kids, and that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings, and it starts to rain. It’s a scary thought but it’s also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working, making sure that you end up exactly where you’re supposed to be, exactly when you’re supposed to be there. The right place at the right time.
How I Met Your Mother, Right Place Right Time 2009
This is one of my favorite quotes in my 19 years of existence. I mean, I was moved by the message.. the flow of the narrator’s words. It gives me hope that all good things come to those who wait patiently. It sums up how life should be lived in its perfect sense. The last leaf falls only if it is its time. The right time. So clearly there’s no need to rush on things. :)
It might be tomorrow, the day after that, the next week, the next month, the next year when a life-changing moment appears to us. Sometimes, we’re just too hasty and impatient; thus, we forget to appreciate and be grateful about the wondrous blessings we have now. It all comes down on how we live the present circumstances leading to such desirable results.
I may not be a good blogger who imparts great knowledge to my readers or writes  powerful words that can produce new insights, inspire people, and change lives instantly but hopefully with this entry of mine, I made you stop to think and ask yourself.. “What do I really want?” “What am I waiting for?” And some other questions brought about by your subconscious.
Yes, being a psychologist and a writer are just two of my lifetime frustrations. However, I can be your friend if you want me to. What’s even good about it is I don’t charge anything. That is, if you let me.

I'm currently watching the HIMYM episode wherein I got the quote above and suddenly I remember this reflection I posted last year. Although it took me a year after to realize that what I wrote was somehow irrelevant to what Future Ted's monologue was trying to tell. I guess it's still one of the most touching life lessons I've heard in my entire life. And it can't be helped that I had to copy-paste this post from my Tumblr account in here. :)

Funny story to add, right after I posted this entry, the sky darkened and it started raining. So cool. :)

Now Playing.. |
My musical preferences were greatly influenced by external factors, such as family, friends, and media. Back in GS and HS, I was a rocker chick although I listen to some songs from other genres too. I love listening to Alt or Pop Rock music currently popular in that timeline (minus the growls and screams though). =)) My ears were mostly for MCR, Evanescence, TRJA, Boys Like Girls, FOB, Paramore, etc. Not long until I got in College and most of my friends, as well as the latest trends in the music industry, were usually Pop and RNB songs (based on my observation). But of course, there's still a room for drums and electric/bass/acoustic guitars. :)

This summer, I was busy marathoning HIMYM when I can't help noticing there are several great songs played in the background that bring out the emotions depending on the scenes. Curious enough, I looked for an OST list for the said sitcom and I found a good website with a compilation of all songs used in the whole series (Season 1-6). I listened to each and there were actually good ones, ones that I've been listening for the past few days already. Caught up in the LSS mode. ;)

So to list them, since I'm all bored and waiting for dinner and 2 more episodes to finish buffering:
  1. This Modern Love - Bloc Party
  2. Beautiful Beat - Nada Surf
  3. Always Love - Nada Surf
  4. Inside Of Love - Nada Surf
  5. Sink To The Bottom - Fountains of Wayne
  6. Quiet - Rachel Yagamata
  7. No One Here - The 88
  8. Boys Don't Cry - Grant Lee Philipps
  9. Nothing That You Are - Mandy Moore
  10. Ladies Choice - Mandy Moore
Listed above were songs I heard from HIMYM.
Listed below were songs randomly suggested by a good friend named YouTube. :P
  1. *Hard To Be You - The 88 (The song reminds me of my childhood days. The Beatles.)
  2. Hide Another Mistake - The 88
  3. She Is Love - Parachute
  4. Kiss Me Slowly - Parachute
  5. She's Got You High - Mumm-ra  (500 Days of Summer)
  6. Waiting For A Sign - Armi Millare (Nestle Sign Seeker OST)
  7. Suggestions - Orelia (Pretty Little Liars)
These were such underrated songs listed as Indie Rock or something and I find them fresh and new to my ears. Good thing they weren't as popular as Bieber's because that's when you really appreciate the music before they get into the mainstream. (Hispter hipster) :)
