Wooooo!! |
So umm..
This is undeniably, ultimately,
beyond reasonable doubt,
the most accurate summary
of my current situation.
Yes, it is quite depressing.
Yes, the emotions consume me.
But no, I am not giving up.
Not this time.
Because yes, my old friend,
I have the most amazing,
wonderful and ever supportive--
the best circle of crazily loyal friends.
Having them around,
despite the time and distance,
we surely find a way,
to reach out and stay connected.
And with that, my old friend,
even without money and a honey,
which I know are on their ways,
I must say dearly,
that I am truly blessed
with these simple treasures,
I would love to call
FRIENDS. :)

Prolly my last post for this month. In three hours, it's going to be August. Just like any other first days of the month, I'm gonna make my August wish which is, more blessings to come. And I sincerely hope that it wouldn't take the whole year for me to get a job. That's right, it's almost five months and still unemployed. Keeping my fingers crossed for possible offers, please! So what happened in July anyways? - The most significant highlight of this month would be that my grandmother died on a Friday the 13th. Then I became busy tending to my relatives and family friends during the wake, even spending the whole night wide awake because of a superstition (at least one of us should be awake otherwise the dead will be gone or spirits may come to take her away.) It lasted for almost a week that my sleeping pattern worsened, having to sleep like 2-3 hours a day. In addition, I also had a very small food intake. A single meal once a day, the rest were cupcakes, candies and other nuts offered at the wake. Seriously, I thought I would collapse anytime. - I was haunted by my grandmother in the dead of the night. Enough said lol. - My aunties went home from the US for my grandmother. I received few presents and money! :) - I got to see my loving GG friends twice this month. First, when Kim and I went to Mckinley and second, when we watched Spiderman at Megamall. - I GOT MY PASSPORT! WOOOO! No sweat! - On July 12, I almost got a job from a company but I'm picky like that so I intentionally screw things up before I was offered the position I never wanted in the first place. On this day as well, my parents came home with our new family car. So gotta learn how to drive! :) - A week after the funeral, I received phone calls from companies. Guess my luck was yet back again and now, I'll be having the final interview tomorrow and the day after that. - Zuckerberg's henchmen finally found my FB account and forcefully enabled the Timeline. By admitting defeat, I made a cover photo to cheer myself up. August. This time last year, we were getting busy with our schoolworks plus studying for the upcoming preliminary exams. I miss UST and the good times. I decided to change the title of this entry because I thought Blow Me (One Last Kiss) by Pink was a little bit more relevant than Jopay. "I think that life's too short for this, I'll pack my ignorance and bliss. I think I've had enough of this. Blow me on last kiss." Dear August,(Makasulat ng letter, akala mo naman tao talaga yung kausap. HAHAHA) Random 1 |
I'm really thinking about changing my urlname here, as well as the layout. It's a random thought but all signs lead to yes. Maybe within this week, I'll have a blog makeover. But which urlname should I use then? Hmmmm.. this or that or a mix of both?Meanwhile my eyeliner started to spread; it's getting itchy and I couldn't resist. My left eye currently looks like raccoon or panda eyes. Must wash my face already and I'm sleepy so I'll hit the sack after this post. Yawns. This was a long day and I really hope everything goes well according to plan. I can't wait any longer! Feel Good |
After two
hours, I finished another collage. Supposedly it was a doodle sketchy
type but I ended up again with something random.. although this time, it
has a theme or a story. An original one.
Do Good. Feel Good.
"There's something more than meets the eye.", says the opening line of the Book Emily is reading. Unlike other girls, she likes to spend her time pretty much all by herself. She goes up the hill, with the overlooking view of the little town she lives in. "Hey Ems, Sarah and I will play dolls at my house. Daddy bought me new toys to play with! Why don't you join us?" And for the nth time, Emily declined. "Maybe next time, Amy. I have something important to do." "Yeah we get it. You will probably go nowhere and read your boring books again. My toys are so much better than those. Books are no fun, they only give you headache! Don't say we didn't ask you!" She exclaimed in disgust and they ran off. They never understood her passion for books and libraries. In fact, no one did. Not even her very own mother.
She sat on her favorite spot under the tree deep in the meadow, away from all the noise and distractions. She picked up a daisy beside her and smelled the sweet fragrance of the flower. She closed her eyes in peace and felt her hair brushed against her face as the wind blows. The weather was just right; it was one of those afternoons that easily took her away from the world. Nothing ever would be more calm and serene.
Emily thought about things that do not normally cross young girls' minds. She took notice of the little things around her. Things seem invisible to most of us like trees, birds, the blue sky, the grassy fields and the blooming flowers. She thought why do people choose to ignore the beauty of the world. Instead they dwell their thoughts on temporary things. Meaningless temporary little things. Don't they notice how these things require their attention every time? People then have become hasty and impatient. Their minds contain too much information. "Sometimes, isn't it nice to stop for a moment and clean your head for a while? To let go of the deadweight or the baggages that continue to burden us. We are too busy with our lives that we tend to forget something along the way --- to take a break. To have our alone time in a secret place. To listen to what our heart says. To appreciate the blessings we have and be grateful. To take heed and just breathe. Breathe deeply and live with the moment. To be happy and contented."
Books.. there are books that teach you the key to happiness. The secret to life for you to do good and feel good. Emily could have played with her friends this time. But she flipped through the next page and allowed herself to embrace the colorful contents of the Book. And just like that, her mind magically wandered to a different realm.

There are two types of seasons in a tropical country like the Philippines: rainy and dry. Last May 31, Kuya Kim the Weather-weather man announced that the rainy season has begun in the PH. Goodbye beaches and pools, shades and swimsuits, the white sand and hot sun. Goodbye summer. And just like that, we're already half-way done in 2012! Since most of the time we'll experience a heavy downpour and cold outdoors, this is a perfect time to get bummed out and cuddle up in your blanket with a good cup of hot chocolate while reading a favorite book, watching a movie or listening to relaxing music. I was born with lazy bones but today wasn't any different. Who wouldn't feel any lazier and perhaps sleepier at a time like this? I woke up today and it was raining pretty hard that it made me want to stay in bed and sleep all day. So today I've decided to create my first ever impromptu 13-track mixtape which I think best suits the rainy and gloomy mood, and I'd also like it to share to everyone. Hope you guys will enjoy! Image: odciody Edit: While some of the songs randomly popped in my head so I included them in the mixtape, there are also songs which have a story behind my approval. For an instance, "This Modern Love" by Bloc Party was featured in HIMYM S1 finale scene where Ted made it rain so Robin wouldn't leave the town and they shared a kiss. MJ's cover of "If This Was A Movie" originally sung by Taylor Swift was included since in the last part of the video it was raining as well. I added three of the most popular rain-related songs in the OPM industry. Aside from Rivermaya and PNE, Neocolors' "Sukob Na", a well-known ABS-CBN's station ID was the best version for me that captures the chillax vibe of the season. :) Labels: indie rock, mixtape, music, OPM, rainy days, random Poetic Disasterpiece II |
..or so how I named this entry in my Multiply account around 3-4 years ago. And of course, I'd like to share it here in my new blog because as soon as I finished reading it, I was like.. what the hell? =)) "I was cleaning my room when I saw my portfolio in 3rd year HS for our Filipino subject. It was where we should put our assignments and other schoolworks. While flipping the pages of the notebook, I was surprised to see the composition I made for the IW in that subject... Knowing ME and how my FOUL LITTLE MIND works, I obviously end up with a very bizarre poem. And so, to cut off your waiting time before you start to get pissed and leave this page, I would like to present you the work of trash. XD" - Excerpt of my Multiply entry Wala namang malinaw na eksplenasyon. Well, this just proves how I tried poetry before and sadly became another lifetime frustration. Labels: art, compositions, high school, MIS, poems, poetry, random Finally! |
